Reality TV star says Nollywood supports upcoming actors

In recent times there has been debate as to whether or not the Nigerian movie industry has been giving upcoming actors and actresses the opportunity to develop their skills.

The debate is spurred over the recycling of the faces appearing over and over again in films. Melvin Oduah believes that the Nigerian movie industry encourages the upcoming actors/actresses.
, the former Big Brother Africa housemate said: “If you look at the big movies going on in cinemas these days, they do auditions".
"I know M-Net does auditions very well, they do open auditions, if you think you can act, you can do very well, come in. A lot of movie houses do these auditions as well", he added.

Oduah also acknowledges that there are still some issues for upcoming talents. He said: “There are some film house that would love to use veterans, people that have been in the game before”. 
In his interview, he points out the advantage of veteran actors working with newbies. He said these two classes working together would enhances the growth of the upcoming acts because of the knowledge they can gain from these experienced talents.
