Talking to yourself actually means you are smart...here's why

Talking to oneself is mostly associated with schizophrenia, a mental illness but recent scientific study says it can also be a very positive and healthy behavior.
A happy manIn an article from Elite Daily, the author, Gigi Engle, discusses about how talking to yourself is a sign of genius. She says, "The smartest people on earth talk to themselves. Look at the inner monologues of the greatest thinkers. Look at poetry! Look at history!"
Christine Schoenwald of YourTango lists some some scientific benefits of talking to yourself:
  1. It improves performance and brain function. When you talk to yourself, it helps you to stay on task, keep focused, and improves your perception capabilities. In a study conducted by psychologists Gary Lupyan from University of Wisconsin-Madison and Daniel Swingley  from University of Pennsylvania, they found that using verbal clues helped when searching for lost objects.
  2. It boost memory retention. When you talk out loud, it stimulates more sensory channels than when you subvocalize. You actually hear the sounds and you engage your emotions.

7 classy ways to reply when you are insulted

Angry Man
The bad thing is that we'll all be faced with situations where we'll be insulted by someone around us . Instead of cursing and making yourself look stupid, you can always fight back with classy replies that will shut them up once and for all.
Holly Riordan of All Women Stalk gives tips on what to say when faced with such a situation:
  1. I've been called worse things by better people: When someone insults you, you need to act like what they said hasn't bothered you in the least. That's why this is one of the best comebacks you could use in an argument. It'll insult the person you're speaking to while letting them know that you couldn't care less about what they think of you. Their opinion means nothing.
  2. I can explain it to you, but I can't comprehend it for you: When the person you're arguing with doesn't seem to get your point, you should use this comeback. It shows them that you're willing to explain what you're saying, but that you don't think it will help them, because they aren't smart enough to understand. Anyone would have a tough #time coming up with something to say back to this comeback.

Personal development 2 simple ways to relieve yourself of stress...and be happy

Stress is avoidable and the only person causing you stress is you

Doesn't matter how much you avoid it, as an adult you'll experience stress at a point in your life. At times you'll feel there's so much to do with so little time.
According to relationship and health experts, stress is avoidable and the only person causing you stress is you.
Author and host Charles J. Orlando, author John Gray, life coach and speaker Cara Cordoni, licensed psychotherapist and bioenergetic analyst Leah Benson and counselor and therapist Atul Kumar Mehra writing for YourTango lists two effective and easy ways to de-stress and relax:
  1. Have An Adult Tantrum (Yes, Really): It sounds funny, but tantrums aren't just for toddlers. Sometimes you have so much pent up negative energy and overwhelming emotion that you simply need to let it out. It's OK to release that bad energy, even if you are an adult. Not convinced? According to Cara Cordoni, you can combat the negative effects of stress on your mind and body with exercise. "We know that the stress hormones, like cortisol, that when you're physically active, you process them," she says, "If you're just sitting around and stewing in your head and having that stress response, you're prolonging it."
  2. Don't Accept Every Task: The need to say yes to everything is common. If you accept it all, you're definitely taking on too much responsibility. However, if you feel like you can't directly say no, find a nice way to decline. People will be more understanding and less hurt if you don't say no right away, and you'll feel less guilty about not being able to help.

It is who you are that you bring into the party. Though, for now I remain a "partyless" Nigerian, but, I will continue to welcome any Nigerian with good leadership qualities.”“It does not matter which party you are, either, PDP, APC, Labour, APGA any party at all, as long as you are committed, sincere and a purposeful leader, I am ready for you. And that is what our brother is doing. I pray that this country will never be short of this type of people.”
Obasanjo made a dramatic exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in February after he allowed a supporter rip his membership card to shreds.
