Nigerian among refugees rescued from Mediterranean Sea A Nigerian man who wanted to get to Europe by all means was rescued from the Mediterranean Sea.

This man was saved at sea
In a bid to seek for greener pasture in Europe, a Nigerian man almost lost his life in the Mediterranean Sea when the overloaded ship he was travelling in with other West African illegal migrants was rescued by the Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), a search and rescue charity organisation.
The young man who told officials he is a 19-year-old man from the Eastern part of Nigeria, was among 118 others rescued from the sinking ship after it was afloat for several days.
Plans are being made to repatriate him back to the country.
